| Abstract | This is the annual report of IDH for the year 2011. The Sustainable Trade Initiative (IDH) accelerates and up-scales sustainable trade by building impact oriented coalitions of front running multinationals, SME’s, civil society organizations, governments and other stakeholders. In 16 sector programs IDH convenes private and public capacity to mainstream sustainability in international supply chains. This innovative approach of cooperating with multinational and SME companies creates large scale sustainability impact and contributes to the Millennium Development Goals on poverty and hunger (MDG 1), environmental sustainability (MDG 7), and fairer trade relations (MDG 8). |
