Information and Communication technology (ICT) can make a difference in realising a greener economy. But just putting technology in place and expecting to see results, will not work. That’s why IICD offers a series of key recommendations for using ICT to achieve greener economies and sustainable development in countries in the global south, based on our profound experiences in Africa and Latin America. The recommendations in this brochure can be used as a guideline during the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development Rio+20, but it can also be used by practioners outside the conference.
