AbstractThe Population Question and Development report summarizes the key results of a cycle of six lectures co-organised by the SID Dutch chapter, the World Population Foundation (WPF) and the Institute of Social Studies (ISS), in 2009, aimed to reframe the population question within the debate on development in the Netherlands, by exploring population growth and dynamics in relation to the above issues and by focusing on, among others, the following themes: population, migration an urbanisation; population and generation; population and gender, China’s population dynamics and its impact on China’s development.
