The main purpose of this publication is to assure the quality and assess the impact of the Aflatoun programmes around the world. It is also a tool for evaluating Aflatoun’s use of resources, whether people, materials or money, to ensure that they are being used as efficiently and effectively as possible. Lastly, Children & Change offers lessons learned as well as Aflatoun’s dreams and aspirations for the future. This year’s Children and Change focuses on the role that participation has in the Aflatoun programme. Children and youth should be encouraged to take initiative and be actively involved in decisions that affect them. This is both their right and an effective way of promoting individual development.

Aflatoun strategy 2011-2015

Aflatoun is a global network of organisations dedicated to providing high quality Child Social and Financial Education (CSFE). It is fully operated by Stichting Child Savings International. Aflatoun offers children aged between 6–18 years help in developing understanding and respect for the world through activities and games. This plan serves as the guiding document for the Aflatoun Movement from 2011 to 2015. It sets out the broad goals that we are all attempting to achieve through partnership and articulates our collective aspirations. It sets our specific targets and establishes a time frame for their achievement. Whilst this document does suggest some strategic approaches for success, it does not attempt to prescribe a road map to success. Rather it sets goals, portrays a vision of success and relies on the skill, ingenuity and imagination of partners and stakeholders to bring it to fruition.

2011 Annual report

This is the annual report of Aflatoun for 2011.
