| Abstract | Arte Accion is an artistic aid organization that was established after Hurricane Mitch in 1998. One of its activities is to help members of violent youth gangs in El Salvador put an end to their criminal careers. Their lives are transformed by participation in creative workshops involving such activities as painting, mask making, stilt walking or other performance art. |
