SamenvattingInternational development, humanitarian and military interventions aim to bring about change, but with mixed results. The fields of change management and complexity science offer useful lessons for those engaged in poor and fragile states. This article presents a conceptual framework that could help ask the right questions and make interventions more effective. It brings together insights from the fields of change management and complexity science that are relevant for systems at any scale, from small organizations to fragile and failing states.
