SamenvattingIn April 2008, a workshop was held in The Hague to deal with capacity development of civil society organizations in fragile states. The discussions focused on the general role of civil society, on its specific potential to address fragility, and on the possible contribution of Dutch NGOs. Guest speakers gave presentations on (1) the link between state fragility and civil society; and (2) how can donors and their partners support sustainable capacity development in fragile states. Apart from these presentations, group discussions and Open Space sessions were organized on various topics.
