SamenvattingIn December 2004, 11 countries in Asia and Africa were hit by a tsunami. The Centre for International Development Issues Nijmegen performed a research into the backgrounds of the aid projects after the tsunami and their impact on support for development cooperation. The strong concern of the Dutch for the victims of the tsunami is a central issue. Special attention is given to the 'Samenwerkende Hulporganisaties', the role of private initiatives and the role of the media during and after the disaster in Asia.
