SamenvattingOn 27 and 28 May 2003, more than 110 people from public and private research institutes, extension agencies, NGOs, sponsors and other stakeholders, met for the National Client Oriented Research Workshop in Moshi, Tanzania. The workshop aimed to share experiences with the Client Oriented Research Management Approach (CORMA) that were gained in the Lake and Northern Zones of Tanzania. This book contains papers presented during the workshop, as well as discussions and recommendations from the workshop. The introductory paper presents the roots of the CORMA and its conceptual framework. Additional papers address specific management capacities, describe experiences, suggest best practices, analyse conditions for success, share lessons learned and suggest challenges and priorities for the way ahead. The book concludes with a paper on the management of the CORMA change process, followed by the workshop discussion and recommendations.
