SamenvattingThis publication reports on the EU presidency seminar and side events, organized by AWEPA in collaboration with the Belgian senate in October 2010, Brussels, Belgium. During the seminar, parliamentarians from the European and African continents discussed the role of parliaments in ending violence against women in Africa and Europe. The subject matter was framed around the cultural practice of female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) and violence against women in conflict zones.
