Abstract	This booklet shares some of the experiences of municipalities in their work on housing based on the results of benchmarks on housing and social housing that were conducted from May to November 2010. The benchmarks were conducted by the Centre for Municipal Research and Advice (CMRA) in partnership with VNG International (the International Co-operation Agency of the Association of Netherlands Municipalities) and the South African Local Government Association (SALGA). In this booklet six housing themes are addressed. Per theme one or more good practices are given, as well as some guiding principles that can assist municipalities in their housing service delivery.
