| Samenvatting | For several years now renewed efforts have been undertaken for the scaling-up and market development of domestic level biogas projects in Asia, especially in China, Nepal, Vietnam and the Indian subcontinent. Based on the successful results in Nepal and encouraging signs from Vietnam (see below), the Board of Directors of SNV decided to launch an initiative for increasing the biogas markets in Asia. Through the Asia Biogas Programme, SNV aims to reach about 210,000 households through installation of a same number of biogas plants, covering about 1.3 million people, in selected countries in Asia. |
