SamenvattingThis brochure describes ICCO works toward a new climate policy after 2012. Some of this work is based on a study of the principles for a just post-Kyoto protocol that was undertaken by the Institute for Environmental studies (IVM) of the VU Amsterdam. Principles to be incorporated in the global policy of the future are equality, fairness, and honesty. These principle should be translated as the equal right of all to sustainable development and the sustainable use of the atmosphere. Other subjects include: (1) the unfair share for developing countries of the burden of climate change; (2) the “dirty” negotiations on international climate policy; and (3) aspects of the FairClimate initiative of ICCO and Kerk in Actie.
