| Abstract | Following a strategic repositioning process, SNV-Peru decided to start actively contributing to the improvement of secondary technical education with a view to ascertain curricular relevance to the development needs of the region. One of the first activities was to elaborate a study in order to compare the educational services offered and the qualifications of the labour force available in the region of Ayacucho. The study is organized in 5 parts: (1) a brief description of the region and its potentials; (2) a review of technical education in the region; (3) a description of the characteristics of the economically active population; (4) a description of the qualifications of the future labour force required; and (5) a presentation of the conclusions and recommendation. |
